Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) is setting a lot of prepaid communal water points in Mathare informal settlement. People were paying Kes 5-10 per 20 liter because people depend on water cartels. The price at the prepaid points is only Kes 0.5, meaning the price has reduced 10-20 times. This is because of of the pro-poor policy of NCWSC.
