Okatekok and Kamunoit are two communities in Busia county. Both villages didn’t have any improved water sources. Maji Milele partnered with the locat NGO Cabda. Both partners designed a plan (technical and financial) which is supposed to lead to sustainable water supply in both communities Financing was provided via Aqua for All and Simavi in the Netherlands. The project was not only about water, but also about sanitation and CLTS.
